How many shaves per blade?I love it. I wouldn't say it blitzs all the other SE's but it certainly brings a very strong game. Efficient without being too aggressive, dextrous, intuitive (though I did have an initial learning curve) and looks the goods. Hearing initial reports prior to purchase it sounded like it would be on the mild side so I assumed I would be using Feather Pro Supers in it but I find Kai Captain Mild blades work very well. The Colonial General and the Vector are currently my top two AC blade type razors.
I have not heard of anyone reporting problems with the flat sided threaded post on the Vector but only time will tell how that will serve long term. I feel it needs to be looked after from that respect but that design also facilitated the compact head which makes it unique as an SE AC razor, so worth it.
Seven, worst case five. How many shaves per blade?
Which blade, I can get a maximum of 12 shaves with KAI mild SE with my version one General SS razorSeven, worst case five.
I've been considering for some time whether to splash out on the Vector. It's a beautiful piece of hardware, but expensive. I know if Mrs Gargravarr sees those containers the blades come in, I'll come in for some stick over landfill. Might have to hide those...Seven, worst case five.
Yes, yes, yes @SpeedyPC , I know, I have to stretch my blades. Apparently your AC blades are a lot stretchier than mine.Which blade, I can get a maximum of 12 shaves with KAI mild SE with my version one General SS razor
Otherwise you’re bloody hairy stubble looks like reinforcement iron bars.
Yes but they're fantastic for safe handling and give you a safe disposal option (empty blade bank in the bottom of the dispenser).I've been considering for some time whether to splash out on the Vector. Even though the Vector is expensive, at least it's a fairly safe investment. It's not a razor you hear much bad said about.
Safe disposal isn't a problem. I just tip the blades from my improvised blade bank into an empty (clean) tomato tin and hammer the opening shut and fold it over (my ex-blacksmith approach) and dump it in the steel recycling bins when I do a tip run. (No roadside pickup out here )Yes but they're fantastic for safe handling and give you a safe disposal option (empty blade bank in the bottom of the dispenser).

A least when I run out I know where to go, you'd nearly have enough blades to become P&C's official blade supplier wouldn't you?
Is that Boris Johnson as a boy, or is it your blade disposal bank?
