Lets make a distinction here. Rapira platinum lux have a coating on them that grabs my hair on first use. Ie the whole first and second pass  hence the dislike for Russian blades.
However the Rapira swedish supersteel I believe have little or no coating.

@StratMan only mentioning this so others consider their blade choice :angelic:
Similar experience for me with Rapira's, Ladas, Voshkods... (n)

Pre: WarmShower
Razor: Rocca R94
Blade: Rapira
Brush: 2-Band Silvertip badger
Soap: All Things Nice
Post: Don Marco Splash

Just when I thought I couldn’t get a smoother shave..... along came a rapira!! goodness me, if I couldn’t hear the whiskers getting cut I would of sworn there was no blade in the razor.

Used my Whispers today. It’s a damn fine soap!
Also, your razor looks great, hope I have one in the post soon!

Assuming a neck shave, as going by the reflection on the brush handle you are bearded. But that doesn't rule out other body parts 😉

Proraso do great products including their aftershaves.
How do you find this style of shavette?

Not a big fan of the fruity sweetness of the top and heart notes but adore the lasting basenotes a journey of the senses
GSB obviously not as efficient as Astra in Apollo

Pre-shave: Hot Shower
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson shaving brush
Soap/Cream: L&L Grooming and Chatillon Lux TSM Fougere shaving soap
Razor: Muhle Rocca Birch Bark Handle
Blade: Polsiver 'Brown' (2)
Post-shave: L&L Grooming and Chatillon Lux TSM Fougere splash
Fragrance: N/A

Still cold, bleak, damp here in CBR - wife has insisted that the heating go back on!

SOTW is a good thing - gets you really in touch with your kit IMHO

Brush: TF Customs Green Swirls & Transparent 27mm Rhodium Silvertip
Razor: Karve Brass SB (D plate) + WCS brass MR5 style handle
Blade: Wizamet Super Iridiums (10)
Soap: Tabula Rasa Dezember
Pre: Shower
Post: Old Spice splash // Stirling Soap Co. Unscented balm
WTG, XTG, ATG = DFS+

A surprisingly enjoyable shave but.... A level down from my favourite 3 razors. :(
Good Health & Happy Shave's!!!

(y) Get to dial in the soap, brush and lather rather than focus on smelling different every day. Also appreciate the scent more

Exactly!

I tend to use a different brush each day from my regular brush rotation, but it is still amazing just how much you pick up keeping things [mainly] the same.

Pre-shave: Hot water
Brush: Forgotten Art "Tarkine" 26mm Tuxedo
Soap/Cream: Noble Otter Hamami
Razor: GC-JAWS
Blade: Croc chomper (1)
Bowl: Rover (Artisan Arcade)
Post-shave: Shower

Hospital washrooms don't give you a lot of space to spread your gear out, but I've managed with worse. It's been a while since I used a Nacet with this razor; they used to be my favorite, but I think that might now be the Gillette 7 O'Clock Yellow. Mrs Gargravarr packed my washbag. I think she wants me to use up the Hamami away from home...

RAZOR: Thiers Issard
CREAM: Proraso Red
BRUSH: Franks Shave Best Badger knot
STROP: Black beauty double sided hanging leather

I picked this razor up from the Bay and restored it, she's a real beauty. Not a full hollow therefore very quiet to shave with. Different to all my other razors.
