Well 345 Fresh Cut Fade.
Great soap nothing to knock about it's performance lathered easy as applied densely, slick & protective. However, someone who knows me well enough tipped me to say I might find it heats up on the skin. Sadly and totally understand a lot of you lads would not be bothered by that but I was on the 3rd lather up for the last pass that's when it got me and I wanted to speed up and finish. Post feel is great clean and fresh feel.

Hey, this is important men's business.

Didn't you want to know how to stop two dogs fighting? You give your middle finger a lick, and stick it...
Place a rubber sling on the middle finger with Vaseline, before you stick it, otherwise, you’ll have a stinky bird finger for at least a week.

which is better?

To get close to the same 'feel' the rhodium plated revamped one needs to be on 4 compared to 6 - and it still seems 'rougher'. The head dynamics must be different between them and I need to have a closer look at them both and compare to see why. Not to say that the rhodium plated revamped one is bad, just different, others might like it more.

RAZOR: S.K Collings & Co 5/8"

I presume your C&E is the older formula when it was OK?

Pre-shave: Hot water, Pears soap
Brush: Forgotten Art "Tarkine" 26mm Tuxedo
Soap: Mystic Water - Rosalimone
Razor: RR SS Hawk V3
Blade: Feather Pro Super
Post-shave: Shower, homebrew moisturiser, La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF50+
COTD: Monsoon Malabar Gold, India

What an utter failure. :( Just as I was trying to reduce the number of soaps in my den, I've found one I must have. Sniffing the dry soap months ago, my reaction was: "OK". However, it lathers up to an absolutely lovely, light rose scent, with the barest whiff of lemon. Not cloying, sweaty or sweet, just a really lovely light, clean rose scent. Mmmmmm. I have a feeling @StratMan might like this one. (y)

Fougère is French for "fern". Really just a piglet of the perfumer's imagination, since most ferns have bugger-all scent. Lots more detail here at Wikipedia... They take many guises, but sniff a bottle of Brut and you'll get the idea.

I would definitely appreciate more feedback regarding the two razors. I'm always on the look out for a slim and a fatboy razor and have considered replated models also. Any personal preference and why?

Carelessly took a chunk out of my favourite DC Blades Kangaroo strop (tired and rushing) :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I tried a new to me honing routine yesterday and while a sample size of one shave is a bit small I have my new methodology.
Also tonight for the very first time in 55 years of shaving I rubbed a soap stick on my face and lathered with a damp brush.
At the twilight of my years I discover the wonder of a Derby stick caressing the manly outline of my less than perfect face. Wonders will never cease.

Soap - Derby stick lovingly prepared by peeling back the paper wrapper and dipping in hot water. There is so much to learn.
Brush - Very low loft badger that held just enough for a single pass and a couple of touch ups. Excellent soap to water ratio.
Razor - Dr. Balfanz 6/8" Ultra thin hollow. Unbelievably sharp. So keen.
Isopropyl alcohol splash to finish.
Finally a very small amount of very inexpensive balm I can no longer get.
All in all a very pleasant DFS.
