After a couple of months endeavouring to shave with a straight, I had a hankering for a good old, no stress, carefree DE shave. I picked a sharp unforgiving blade, and placed it in a medium aggressive forgiving razor and voila! Just what the doctor ordered. DFS+

This morning I was going to shave with a Titan 1918 ACRO T.H.64 that I recently set the bevel on using 1k & 3k Chinese synthetic whetstones. While going through my SR stable, I noticed a Puma 1⅝ that had not been used for a while. I decided that the ACRO T.H.64 can wait until tomorrow and took the Puma out for a drive. For a pleasant change, the shave soap I selected was a Palmolive stick (German), generously PIFed to me from Bahrain.

Not my most aesthetically pleasing razor but always a very good performer, it did not disappoint me. After its work, the Puma 1⅝ was wiped dry, given about 10 laps on a clean denim strop and maintained on 0.1μm hanging balsa before being Ren waxed and put away in its custom kid-leather pouch.

Using some old stuff here. I have loads of Mike’s soaps from way back. They are so good with the tallow base. Anyone know if he still making soaps?
The old Gillette with the “Super Iridium” is a great pairing. Is this the blade you guys refer to as the “Wizamet”? Where can I buy some of those?
I got a batch of Nacets recently through Amazon. They’re excellent too (after trying samples from @Holiday)
