Unsure about specific model names, but it's open comb and looks like this but with some plating loss and a couple of scratches:

You're brave. That's the Open Comb Micromatic. OCMM or MMOC or whatever. Found it seriously aggressive and used it maybe for half a pass on one or two occassions. Mark now owns it. The other two MM models, the Clog Pruf and the Bullet Tip (or sometimes called the Flying Wing for reasons nobody really knows) are aggro enough in my opinion. My favorite MM is the Bullet Tip followed closely by the Clog Pruf. The Featherweight is always my go to with a new blade.

No idea what the cream is, and searching through my threads here and YKW I can't find it, but it was supposed to be a nice one. Found the thread -
Tabula Rasa. Somehow it seems to have split if that is possible? There is a distinct orange/red liquid lying on top of the cream. Almost put me off using it, but I ended up just scraping cream off the lid and had a reasonable shave.
Is it normal for this to happen?
Creams quite often do have period stipulated by the maker in which they're best used.....from memory I was ready that Trumpers state a year....but being a soft soap they'd be a bit more vulnerable. Time/age aside the heat/humidity up your way might have got to them......alternatively with many artisan products on the market this type of thing could just be liable to happen ....perhaps you could reincorporate the oil by mixing back in as I'd say it'd be best it goes back into the cream.
Haha another reason where I strictly stick with hard soaps. ;-)
...........Never had a soap or cream go bad/off Nick. Even soft soap is just soap, it can't really change much.......
The biggest difference between most ~same soap/creams to me's the soaps' far superior shelf life, no matter what a company's line is about that subject (here Trumper gives 12mos. for both, and while I'd agree their creams definitely dry up and stop working well within that year, I'd easily use their soap long after that ).
I think we all kind of agree, but just FTR I never said nor implied that a soap/cream would go off/bad. Rather just that I'd heard that atleast a couple of prominent cream makers had stated some type of time period that products should be used within a certain period for best results.
Here's exactly what I was referring to from 'The Superior Shave's shaving soap/cream page:
Personally I've no idea about the specific products as I've never used them other than a few samplers and my experience with creams is very limited as I tend to dislike them.
