The purpose of shaving with these two identical razors was to ensure that they both performed close to the same standard. I will spend the rest of this week shaving only with the black-tail razor to determine its edge longevity. On Sunday I will again shave with both to compare.

For the past five shaves, the black-tail razor has only been stropped on clean leather between each shave (no edge refresh). The clear-tail is maintained on hard black Arkansas between each shave. The purpose of this comparison shave was to determine if there has been any noticeable deterioration on the black-tail's edge. So far none is detected. I will do the same again in a week or two's time.

Starting tomorrow I will work my way through some of my odds and sods razors.
